The Calgary Skip Squad was invited to the Auburn Bay Safety & Wellness Fun Day on May 26, 2018. This free family fun day was sponsored by local businesses and attracted hundreds of attendees throughout our community. This event featured many fun activities and demonstrations focusing on child, teen, family, and community safety.
Our Club had a booth full of information about upcoming recreational skipping programs, competitive team details, and demo bookings. Although we only had two jumpers in attendance, this event was a hit! The crowds would stop and watch these two jumpers perform mini demos. Children of all ages even tried some skipping. And by all ages, we mean all ages! The City of Calgary firefighters and Calgary YMCA staff decided to give it a try too!
