The Calgary Skip Squad was invited to the Copperfield & Mahogany Community Association annual Stampede Family Picnic in the Park on July 4, 2018. It was a beautiful afternoon for fun, treats, music, and skipping!
Our jump rope team hosted a “Come Try Skipping” event during the picnic. We had kids galore learning some skipping skills and even adults jumping in the ropes. Our athletes enjoy showing others the skill of jump rope and talking about their unique sport. It is wonderful to see how a simple piece of rope gives children (and adults) such joy! They are exercising and having fun at the same time. Can’t beat that!
The Stampede Picnic event drew a huge crowd and our jump rope demo team performed for spectators of all ages. The jumpers showed off group routines, single rope tricks, double dutch, and even a jump rope skill called “the web”. Our demo is a intense fast-pace performance to music that gets a lot of oohhs and ahhhs! If your organization, school, or event is interested in having the Calgary Skip Squad perform, please contact us for more details.
